My favourite location

Mischief a plenty
While not as busy as in pre-internet days this still a great place to wander around on a warm summer evening / night (can be fun in winter to!). Fridays and Saturday's are busiest with numbers peaking between 23:00 and 01:00 although usually lads around before then and plenty after - some go after clubbing. You can judge how busy by volume of cars parked in North End Way.

To get there walk up Heath Street from Hampstead tube, or buses 210, 268 (alight at Inverforth House). To get home, night buses run every ten minutes on Friday and Saturday nights back to central London (every 15 mins other nights)

Can get very dark if it's a cloudly night with no moon - if you don't like seeing shadows in dark not a place for you.

Who might you meet? Almost anyone in terms of age and what they are looking for. You would be very unlucky not to find any mischief.

Remember that it is a fairly busy public place during daylight, although in summer plenty of undergrowth for cover . . . but once it's dark gay lads have it to themselves. Leave your valuables behind - crime is very rare, but if you drop something in bushes you're unlikely to find it again!
