|This is a really glorious beach...|
This is a really glorious beach and a MUST if you are in anywhere near Bournemouth during the summer months. Access by public transport is via the 150 Bus Service which runs between Bournemouth and Swanage, running hourly all year round (with a few extra buses in the summer). This route takes you over, via the Chain Ferry to Shell Bay where you get off. Alternatively, by car you can park in Canford Cliffs and walk to the ferry or take your car over to park at the Studland Bay Car Parks. To avoid the long queues for the ferry you can drive around Poole Harbour to Studland Bay. Whichever way you go, you will have a long walk!
There is action on the dunes behind the beach, but watch out for National Trust employees on dune buggies and the occasional police that the National Trust sometimes call in.
