well impressed with this place
Came here 22/1/13, working in a sauna in Liverpool myself i know about saunas.

welcomed by a friendly face, who explained how this sauna worked. i came in about 3pm stayed till 5pm. (had to get a train home)
there was a good mix of guys, the place was clean, hot tub was massive, steam and sauna spotless and nice.
the upstairs was clean, plenty of activity,

i honestly cant find 1 fault with this place.

Karl from Liverpool.

Great
I think this is one of the best gay saunas around.
It is clean and hygenic....the guys can be mixed...18 to 80, it is friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
The dark room is cool....and the sling is sleazy as you would want it...lol.
Have a feeling the bad review may be sour grapes or personal, it is certainly not the place i have been to many times

very very poor hygene. gossipy staf
people comment on pink broadway that the owners current boyfriend is often drunk and thus is often rude to customers. i have had 1st hand experience of this. i was in there once and by the time i left and walked to the london pub it was common knowledge that i had been there. ! they need to clean the beds more because they are often dripping with bodily fluids..

poor hygene, rude staff
i found the general hygene of the whole sauna very substandard. dont know who does the cleaning there but they need retraining. the staff were constantly talking about the clients that were in there and infact taking the micky out of them. the staff and management should take heed of the saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you" overall my impression of the sauna was not good at all.

I just had to comment on this review...

Perhaps the gentleman visited another Sauna? His review in 2010 was far more positive.

The sauna is spotless...the cleaning staff who are delightful ensure that the toilets are cleaned at regular intervals during opening hours...and the upstairs areas are monitored frequently..so that any " spillages" are mopped up and all rooms are kept free of used condoms etc.

As for the staff commenting on the customers...I clearly wasn't there on that occasion, but I have always found them to be delightful, polite and always helpful. The owner and management team have created a place that feels welcoming, safe and fun..where you can be yourself and relax. They have often commented that the customer is the most important person...

And they can't do enough to help you have an enjoyable time..Just my opinion I know...however I can't recommend Pink Broadway enough...they are my family in Southampton..thank you! :-)

..in age from early 20's to over 60
The sauna is situated nearly opposite Debenham's Store in East Street. The premises are large and spotlessly clean and the staff quite pleasant.

On the ground floor is a large lounge/TV/bar area with the locker rooms just off. Through to the rear are the showers, steam room and two saunas with a Jacuzzi in the central area - unfortunately you have to ask for the Jacuzzi to be switched on by one of the staff members - I presume to try to save electricity.

Upstairs there are various restrooms and a porno video room as well as a dimly lit darkroom area. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon and there were about 30 clients, whilst I was there, ranging in age from early 20's to over 60. Most were friendly with little attitude. Much of the sex takes place upstairs in the video room and the darkroom. The entrance fee is £14, which appears to be quite expensive for a sauna in the provinces.
